Laila Cremona

Founder & CEO

At MediBay

Laila leads MediBay’s direction and partnerships, bringing the founding vision of more accessible healthcare into a practical, people-centred service. Her focus connects diagnostics and teleconsultation with the human support and training needed to make them work well.

Background

An international entrepreneur, Laila’s work spans business development, professional education and community initiatives in the UK, India and Europe. Through IQ Training, she has developed an interest in immersive, practical learning. Her experience of healthcare-access challenges helped shape MediBay’s ambition to bring expertise closer to the people who need it.

Karan Rekhi

Co-founder · Global Operations & Finance Director

At MediBay

Karan brings the operational and financial perspective to MediBay’s development: how services are planned, facilities are organised and delivery can be sustained. His role connects the care model with practical operating requirements, investment planning and the needs of healthcare partners.

Background

Karan’s background includes founding Forte Healthcare and leadership roles with Emirates Hospitals Group and VLCC International. He has worked on healthcare facilities across the Middle East and international markets, with experience in financial planning, due diligence, valuations and mergers and acquisitions. He brings that combination of healthcare operations and commercial discipline to MediBay.

Professor Federico Baffetti

Co-founder · Global Technical Director

At MediBay

Federico leads MediBay’s technical direction, bringing AI, automation and connected digital systems together around the clinical workflow. His focus is on translating technical capability into practical tools that support clinicians and help connect diagnostics, consultations and the patient journey.

Background

Federico’s background combines artificial intelligence, automation and digital transformation with business education. His work has included COCO Srl and ATG Suisse, alongside teaching at Bologna Business School. Experience across machine learning, cloud systems and natural-language technologies informs his contribution to MediBay’s healthcare platform and its technical collaborations.

Ken Callen

Global Director of Information & Communication Technologies

Ken brings over 40 years of audiovisual and communications experience across government, military, banking and corporate environments. At MediBay, he oversees the design, procurement and integration of audiovisual and communication systems across the consultation spaces and connected clinician hubs.

Max Baker

Global Director of Design & Development

Max leads the physical design and development of MediBay’s care environments, from pod layouts and ergonomics to build coordination and day-to-day usability. His focus is on spaces that work for patients and clinical teams, with practical attention to sustainability and maintainability.

James Pemberton

Sales Director

Leads sales and commercial conversations for MediBay.
